Adoptions

Raccoon and Tyson

Tyson (top brindle) and Raccoon (brown with cream face). Tyson is elderly (11, 12 range) and has managable Cushing's Disease. Like Raccoon, he is neutered, house and crate trained and is wonderful with all people, children and other dogs, and is nondestructive. They do not like cats. They are best together, but they would do fine alone.

Poppa

Poppa is Raccoon's brother and is special needs in caring for his skin. He was rescued from an abuser that kept him and his sister in a crate as a puppy in the darkness so they both have sensitivities and good quality food. Poppa came to us emaciated and covered in sores and completely bald. With love, care and excellent nutrition, he is now peach fuzzy and has a full face and feet of fur. He is neutered, bouncy and very affectionate and sweet. He loves cats and they love him. He is great on walks. We think he would be good with other dogs but are not sure because he is easily excitable with puppy energy, but he is well behaved and obedient. He is also crate trained, completely housebroken and trust worthy. He is about 5, 6 we think. We put T shirts on him when it's chilly, and he's fun and loves to dress up. He has very little fur so he does need care in the summer not to burn, and in the winter not to get too cold.

Baby is a Pekinese, rough estimate about 4, 5 years old. Someone had gauged out both eyes and left her to wander in an enclosed lot. She is otherwise healthy, very sweet and petite, about 10 pounds tops. She is all white with some cream patches. She wears diapers for urinating but we do believe she can be house broken with enough attention and care. She does NOT defecate in the house. She will go almost immediately when placed outside. She is not an active dog, a slumbering snuggle bug. She is happy to sleep all day or sit in your lap. She will not be wandering and bumping into things, which makes us believe that she lost her eyes very young and/or never had sight to begin with to know to stay pretty much in one place.

Blue Nose

Baby

This one is Blue Nose, who is a pure blue pit. She is very strong and muscular with a lot of horsepower. She is a high energy dog, that needs a lot of attention and the ability to run. She pents up energy easily but is a wonderfully sweet dog that loves affection, is kissy and will bond easily to you. She is a strong puller on the leash and will take a disciplined handler. She is also treadmill trained. Extremely housebroken, crate trained, spayed and makes a great alert dog. She is not a nuisance barker, but will she will alert you to unusual sounds once she is familiar with what is normal for your household and what is not. She is great with people, kids and cats. She is best as the only dog as she is not well socialized, however, she has been to a two week training camp - along with Poppa - next listing) that offers free refreshers for their life span. She is about 5.
